Cheesy Hot Dog Tacos Recipe

Tacos are a staple of good Mexican cuisine. In this recipe, I’ll show you how to take an American favorite (hot dogs) and give it Mexican flair to make Cheesy Hot Dog Tacos.

The ingredient list:

Makes 5-6 Tacos


Step One – Cook the Veggies

  1. Chop up the onions and bell peppers.
  2. Turn on stove to medium. Heat up olive oil in pan for 3 minutes.
  3. Place onions and bell peppers into the pan.
  4. Cook with intermittent stirring for 6-7 minutes. Sprinkle salt & pepper onto vegetables.
  5. Place veggies on side plate.

Step Two – Boil the Hot Dogs

  1. Fill pan with a quarter inch of water.
  2. Turn on heat to high.
  3. Bring water to a low boil, 2-3 minutes.
  4. Place hot dogs into the pan. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Take out hot dogs and discard remaining water.

Step Three – Toast the Tortillas

  1. Keep stove on high.
  2. Place 2-3 corn tortillas on pan.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese on tortillas.
  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes, depending on preference. Make sure not to burn the tortillas.
  5. Repeat 2-4 for another round of tortillas.

Step Four – Eat!

  1. Put the onions, green peppers, and hot dog on the cheesy tortilla.
  2. Fold or roll up.
  3. Chow down!
